On 29.11.2017, the project partners met with representatives of the DLR Institute of Transportation Systems Engineering in Braunschweig. First, the installations in the Braunschweig test bed and the Intelligent Mobility (AIM) application platform were explained on site. One focus was on V2I communication components and testing V2I use cases at traffic lights in Braunschweig. In the afternoon, DLR and the SAFARI team exchanged ideas on current research topics. The focus here was primarily the automated and connected driving, the highly accurate maps required for this, and the methods for generating, exchanging and updating the maps.
